The Price of Peace: Rethinking Security for Germany and Europe
Die russische Invasion der Ukraine hat die Grundfesten deutscher außenpolitischer Überzeugungen erschüttert – eine „Zeitenwende“. Am 18. Oktober 2022 wurden beim Berliner Forum Außenpolitik die Auswirkungen der „Zeitenwende“ für Deutschlands internationales Handeln mit hochrangigen Teilnehmer:innen aus Regierung, Politik, Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft erörtert und dabei sowohl innerdeutsche als auch internationale Perspektiven und Erwartungen beleuchtet.
Wie kann eine europäische Sicherheitsordnung der Zukunft aussehen? Wie sollten Deutschland und Europa den geoökonomischen Verwerfungen des Konflikts begegnen? Welche Auswirkungen hat Russlands Aggression für die Indo-Pazifik-Strategien der westlichen Partner? Welche Herausforderungen ergeben sich durch den Krieg für Länder des Globalen Südens und die deutsche Entwicklungszusammenarbeit?
Diese und weitere Fragen wurden beim Berliner Forum Außenpolitik 2022 unter dem Titel “The Price of Peace: Rethinking Security for Germany and Europe” diskutiert.
