As part of our charitable activities, we also take the interests of the environment and nature into account as far as possible. This begins with our foundation buildings: In Hamburg and Berlin, we use only green electricity.
In addition, as the Körber Foundation we are CO2-neutral: we compensate for carbon dioxide emissions through nature conservation measures in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
In the 2,800-hectare Kaarzer Holz area, we support the improvement of biodiversity by planting deciduous trees in the monotonous conifer stands. In the 1,000-hectare Gelbensander Forst area, the focus is on rewetting degenerated lowland moor grassland.
