Political Breakfasts

High-ranking speakers, among them heads of state, foreign ministers and other influential politicians from Europe, Asia, the Middle and Near East, and the United States, as well as leaders of international organizations, discuss
current political issues with a select circle of foreign and security policymakers.

For the speakers, the Political Breakfasts constitute an opportunity to conduct a confidential 90-minute
discussion with Berlin’s foreign policy community. The open and substantive exchange takes place between
high-level speakers and key decision-makers, including Members of the Bundestag and top representatives of
various federal ministries, such as the Federal Foreign Office and the Federal Ministry of Defence, the Federal Chancellery and select think tanks. Since 2020, Körber-Stiftung’s Digital Background Discussions also offer a
virtual space for dialogue on current challenges in international affairs.

Körber-Stiftung regularly invites a small circle of high-ranking members of Berlin’s foreign policy community to its Political Breakfasts and (Digital) Background Discussions. For 60 years, Körber-Stiftung has been committed to international
dialogue across political, national and religious boundaries, following the credo “Talk to each other, rather than about each other”.
