Will you tell us your story?

Many perspectives of people from Hamburg’s urban society have not yet been reflected in the Museum of Hamburg History (MHG). During the current structural and content modernization, the MHG is inviting people to tell their stories and share their realities so that some of them can be included in the collections and exhibitions in the long term.

Through participatory initiatives—whether digital formats or gathering places in public spaces across the city’s various neighborhoods—we want to encourage the people of Hamburg to share their lived experiences.

Whether short, long, serious or humorous – all stories are welcome. What is your connection to Hamburg? What brought you to the city and what keeps you here? Where is your personal Hamburg? The aim is to give an insight into life and everyday life in the city or district and perhaps also to share wishes and hopes for Hamburg. Take part here and actively shape the exchange about our city.
