Körber Global Leaders Dialogue

Foreign policy means dialogue. Whether it is on the parliamentary and diplomatic working level or between heads of states and political leaders: without dialogue, international cooperation is not possible. When heads of state and government or leading politicians are successfully persuaded to deliver keynote speeches on the fundamental elements of a nation’s foreign policy, they provide fresh impetus to further dialogue. With its Körber Global Leaders Dialogue, we aim to contribute to this process on a regular basis.

Friedrich Merz, Chairman of the CDU Germany/Chairman of the CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group, gave a speech on the foreign and European policy priorities for Germany at the Körber Global Leaders Dialogue on Thursday, 23 January 2025. The speech was followed by a moderated on-stage discussion. Friedrich Merz then took questions from the audience.
