Kampnagel Hamburg is a world-renowned international production house that presents contemporary performing arts, concerts, conferences and a variety of different festivals, spanning a wide range of sociocultural issues. Upon its six different stages, Kampnagel Hamburg showcases the work of international artists as well as that of the local Hamburg scene. The artistic programme represents a broad spectrum of aesthetic positions and pioneering trends in theatre, dance, performance, music, visual arts and architecture. With »Migrantpolitan«, Kampnagel Hamburg has created a space of artistic activity for, by and with artists in exile and thus enabled them to practice artistic and cultural self-determination at this very venue. The artists in exile have been introduced to professional artistic work within the independent scene. Examples of artistic stage productions on the subject of exile are numerous and range from international artists to local actors in diaspora.
