Ask a Scientist provides a stage for scientific research. On several occasions throughout the year, Körber-Stiftung invites scientists in areas ranging from outer space to the deep sea to present and discuss their current research with the public. With the aim of making complex research topics and findings accessible and answering questions about theory and practice, the event series is directed towards, but not limited to, a younger audience. Ask a Scientist is moderated by science journalist and television presenter Johannes Büchs.

The Host

Johannes Büchs is a journalist and television presenter. He currently hosts the show “Kann es Johannes?” on KiKA and works as a writer and presenter for the “Sendung mit der Maus”. Until 2017, he worked as a writer for the satirical show “extra 3” at NDR and hosted the socio-political children’s and youth program “neuneinhalb” on ARD.
