Nicola Spaldin – Winner of the Körber European Science Prize 2015
The British chemist and materials scientist Nicola Spaldin has received the Körber European Science Prize 2015 for her pioneering work in the field of materials research. With the help of computer models she has developed a new class of crystalline compounds: Multiferroics not only promise to revolutionise the world of computers, but could possibly also be a source of further material developments and a base material for technological innovations.
