Historian Shamir Yeger about Teaching and Learning in the Metaverse
Historian and Edtech expert Shamir Yeger from Israel, Head of history track at the faculty of education at Bar-Ilan University, presents a project from Israel. It enabled teachers and students from diverse backgrounds to embark on an immersive journey into conflictual history using VR scenarios.
At the NECE-Festival “Futures!” 2023 in Madrid provided Historian and Edtech expert Shamir Yeger from Israel insights into “Mission Possible” – a history learning programme that brings Jewish and Arab students together in virtual reality to discuss conflictual historical perspectives. He discusses the potential and challenges of using VR scenarios in history education and what to expect from future virtual teaching methods.
