Ways into exile

On the arduous journey to Europe, many refugees spend months or even years at stopovers at the borders of Europe. There they find themselves in a state of limbo between home and exile, between being a refugee and not yet having arrived. The future is uncertain, the present is marked by constant waiting. Moderated by the journalist Franziska Grillmeier, those affected and helpers talk about the hurdles of flight and their personal experiences.
