Walter Benjamin: "Time is Nowhere a Concrete Thing".

  • Renaissance-Theater Berlin, Bruckner-Foyer, Berlin
  • Days of Exile
  • Lecture and reading

The son of a Jewish family, Walter Benjamin was born in Berlin in 1892. In his extensive work, he crossed borders. Whether literature or journalism, cultural studies or sociology, his work still has an impact in the most diverse fields today. Uncompromising, undogmatic and complex in his thinking, always concrete, direct and constructive in his writing. His life ended tragically, in 1940 he took his own life in exile. Matinée by and with the actress Maria Hartmann.
