Verlorene Sterne

The Iranian Human Mirrafati (*1962) was imprisoned in Iraq for five years during the first Gulf War (1980-1988). He experienced hunger and torture. After his release, he was threatened with execution in Iran because he had turned away from Islam. He then fled to Germany. The Iranian director Abdolreza Kohanrouz documented his path from trauma victim to integration helper (D 2021, 75 min., original version with subtitles). Human Mirrafati will be present for the discussion.
