"Music as a source of strength for life in exile"
Ghassan Al-Halabi has lived in Germany since 1977. In addition to his profession as a surgeon, he is a contact point for Syrian friends and relatives who have fled their country. He talks about his dialogue with people who have had to leave their country and seek refuge in exile, and shows that music, as a universal language, can be a source of strength that connects people across cultures. Ghassan Al-Halabi reads from his book “Mein Ludwig”. The pianist Katie Mahan will accompany the reading with music.
