Hamburg authors also had to flee into exile in the past. This is an obligation towards those who live in exile in Hamburg today. After a tribute to the Hamburg author and publisher Grete Berges (1895-1957), who was persecuted by the Nazis, the former member of the Bundestag Simone Barrientos will speak in High and Low German with exiled writers and writers living in Hamburg from the Association of German Writers.
