From My Garden - Promenade Concert 100 Years Ursula Mamlok
Music and conversation commemorate the Berlin-born Ursula Mamlok (1923-2016). Threatened because of her Jewish origins, she fled from the National Socialists to New York, where she became one of the most renowned composers in the USA. In her summer domicile in San Mateo, California, she created numerous compositions that reflect the garden as a place of retreat. This music can now be heard in the garden of the Liebermann-Villa, which was itself a source of inspiration for the painter Max Liebermann.
