Women and the Taliban

Mones Paikar was studying photography at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Kabul University when the Taliban regained power in Afghanistan in 2021 and she fled to Germany. She captured the everyday lives of women and girls with her camera. She created expressive and powerful portraits. A panel discussion with the artist and a dialogue between Afghans in exile and the visitors are planned for the vernissage.
