Exile in books and pictures

The exhibition at Burg Lede addresses the conditions under which art is created in exile or under which works created before exile are dealt with. The artists Lucia Moholy, René Halkett, Homa Emami and Margret Hoppe represent different generations of engagement with the subject. Photo historian Rolf Sachsse has curated the exhibition and will open it with an introduction. The show also includes a large number of illustrated books on the subject of exile as a cultural vanishing point. The exhibition will be accompanied by a concert.
