According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948, all human beings are free and equal in dignity. How valid is the declaration from a global perspective? More and more people are fleeing – for political, ethnic or climate-related reasons: according to the World Bank, there will be 216 million people in 2050. Is Europe sealing itself off? Under the direction of Volker Lösch, an ensemble of refugees and actors juxtaposes political measures with personal testimonies and paints a picture of what the reality at the EU border looks like.
